Fest 9 Details Announced

Fest 9 Arguably the greatest event in the punk rock world takes place each year in Gainesville, Florida. Since 2002, The Fest has been a gathering of bands and friends over a few insane days of music and partying. The much anticipated details for Fest 9 have been released on the official Fest website. This year's festivities will take place from October 29th-31st. The site confirms that Holiday Inn will once again be the party headquarters and that a new venue, 8 Seconds, will be participating in the event.


What's to be expected at the ninth installment of Fest? 'Who knows! More of the same. More friends, more family, more brew, more party times, more high fives, more hugs, more passed out fools on random couches, and more other things I can't bring up in public.'

The Measure (SA) have joined forces with New Bruises to release a 7" split on Kiss of Death Records. The 7" has four songs from The Measure (SA) and two from New Bruises. In addition the digital download features New Bruises performing a cover of "More Metal" by Mid Carson July.

Lemuria Recording New Album

Punk pop trio Lemuria are currently in the studio recording the follow up to 2008's Get Better. For the next few weeks they will be stationed at the Magpie Cage in Baltimore, MD working close with producer J Robbins (Jawbreaker, Hey Mercedes, The Promise Ring).  

 

"Right when we started recording this album, we knew we wanted to record with J." says drummer Alex Kerns, "His catalog and style best compliments the new songs we're working on."

 

Kerns describes the new material as "higher energy" while still staying true to the trademark sound which made Get Better such a success. The as of yet untitled album will be Lemuria's debut for their new label Bridge Nine Records

 

 

 

 

   

Tigers Jaw / Man Overboard- Tour

Tigers Jaw

Tigers Jaw has hit the road for three weeks in support of the reissue of 2008's S/T album. They'll be sharing the stage with The Sidekicks as well as select shows with Man Overboard who are currently touring the U.S. in support of Real Talk.
